Medical Conditions - Dental Cyst

A dental cyst is a closed sac of tissue filled with soft material or fluid. It develops in soft tissues of the oral cavity such as gums, lips, and teeth. The causes are an improper eruption of the tooth. It often occurs at the root tips or forms on the crown of the dead tooth. It can resolve on its own, but it can sometimes get infected, causing an oral abscess.
