Dry eye syndrome is otherwise known as keratoconjunctivitis sicca, is a condition of having dry eyes. It occurs due to aging, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren's syndrome, and vitamin A deficiency. The symptoms are irritation, redness, blurred vision, and discharge from the eyes. Lubricating eye drops can help to reduce dry eyes. Giving rest to the eyes and applying warm compresses helps a lot.
