Different ear drops come with different compositions and functions to treat different ear problems. For example, ear drops may contain antibiotics, steroids, local anesthetic, antifungal, pain killer, etc. Ofloxacin, Ciprofloxacin, Gentamicin are commonly used antibiotic drops. Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Acetaminophen are commonly used pain-relieving ear drops. Using ear drops can cause muffled hearing at the time of administration. The used ear drop should be handled and stored carefully with hygiene. Exposed ear drops may trigger infection and must not be used.
