Medical Conditions - Endometrial Ablation

Endometrial ablation is a surgical procedure that destroys the uterus lining and is mainly done to reduce the menstrual flow. It is an easy procedure as no incision is needed. The doctor inserts a slender instrument through the space between the vagina and the uterus. The uterus or cervix is dilated to allow the instrument to go in. The endometrium is destroyed through cryoablation (extreme cold ice that freezes and helps destroy the endometrium) or heard ballon method (a device that is inflated with heated fluid) techniques.
