Thickening of the endometrium, which is the inner lining of the uterus, is called endometrial hyperplasia. Unusual uterine bleeding, heavy and prolonged bleeding, and vaginal bleeding after menopause are the common symptoms. Hormonal therapy or surgery is used to treat endometrial hyperplasia.
