Endometrial or uterine polyps are an overgrowth of the cells of the endometrium, which is the inner lining of the uterus. These growths are usually noncancerous, but sometimes it turns cancerous. It can cause symptoms like irregular menstrual bleeding, bleeding after menopause, infertility, and intermenstrual bleeding.
