Erb’s palsy is arm or shoulder muscle weakness and loss of movements that can be a birth defect or attained during an injury. It usually presents with irregular and intense pain. It is seen in both children and adults. The majority of the patients affected usually recover within a year. Treatment of Erb's palsy includes nerve transplant from the other arm or leg, latissimus dorsi tendon transfer, and subscapularis release.
