Extracorporeal Shockwave Treatment (ESWT), otherwise referred to as shockwave therapy, is used in the treatment of common musculoskeletal conditions such as greater trochanteric pain syndrome, medial tibial stress syndrome, patellar tendinopathy, adhesive capsulitis, non-union of long bone fracture, avascular necrosis of femoral head, osteoarthritis of the knee, upper and lower extremity tendinopathies, and plantar fasciopathy.
