Medical Conditions - Extrasystole

Extrasystole is a type of irregular heartbeat that occurs when an extra heartbeat occurs before the next expected regular heartbeat. This condition can be caused by several factors, such as stress, caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, or underlying heart conditions. Some individuals may not experience any symptoms, while others may experience palpitations, chest discomfort, dizziness, or shortness of breath. A diagnosis of extrasystole generally involves an electrocardiogram (ECG) to identify the type and presence of extrasystole.
