Femoroacetabular impingement, also called hip impingement, is a condition in which the growth of an extra bone is seen along one or both of the bones that constitutes the hip joint. This results in providing an irregular shape to the bones and causing pain as the bones rub together. This can be cured by recommending corticosteroids, NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), rest, or surgery.
