Medical Conditions - Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy

Fiberoptic bronchoscopy is a diagnostic cum treatment procedure involving optical fiber cables and a camera. One may insert the bronchoscope into the lungs through the airways and try to visualize the interior of the lung on a computer screen. This helps identify lung disease, lumps or tumors, and enlarged lymph nodes inside. One can also remove blocks and choked-up foreign bodies with fiberoptic bronchoscopy.
