Medical Conditions - Fibroadenoma

Fibroadenoma is a noncancerous tumor that occurs in women between 14 and 35 years of age. They appear as smooth, firm, and rubbery lumps on the breast with a well-defined shape. Hormones like estrogen play an important role in the development of fibroadenomas. In most cases, fibroadenoma does not require treatment. In cases showing changes in the breast with large fibroadenoma, then lumpectomy and cryoablation are done.
