It is a rare bone disorder mainly caused by genetic mutations. There is the formation of fibrous, scar-like bone causing pain, swelling, bone fractures, and curvatures of leg bones. Severe cases of fibrous dysplasia develop into bone fracture, loss of vision and hearing, arthritis, and cancer.
