Medical Conditions - Functional Neurological Disorder

Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is a condition characterized by neurological symptoms that are not caused by structural or organic abnormalities in the nervous system. Instead of structural damage, it is thought to result from abnormalities in the nervous system's normal operation. FND can show symptoms in a variety of ways, such as memory problems, sensory symptoms like numbness or tingling, or motor symptoms like weakness or tremors. Treatment may involve a multidisciplinary approach, including physical therapy, psychotherapy, and educational support, suited to the needs of the individual, and diagnosis entails a thorough evaluation ruling out other potential reasons.
