Medical Conditions - Gastric Adenoma

A gastric adenoma is a type of tumor that can develop in the lining of the stomach. It is often benign, which means it is not cancerous, although it occasionally develops into cancer(malignant) over time. Risk factors for gastric adenoma include chronic inflammation of the stomach lining and infection with Helicobacter pylori bacteria. Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and blood in the stool are possible symptoms. Typically, a combination of imaging tests, endoscopy, and biopsy is used to diagnose gastric adenomas.
