It is also known as gingival enlargement or hypertrophy. It is a condition which shows an overgrowth of gingiva leading to compromising oral health. Several reasons like inflammation, genetics, drugs and systemic conditions (pregnancy and leukaemia) are responsible for gingival enlargement.
