Granulomas are a benign condition characterized by a small area of inflammation, which are accidentally detected in an X-ray. It most commonly occurs in the lungs but may also occur in other parts of the body. It is a defensive mechanism that triggers the body to stop the invaders from spreading. It does not usually require treatment.
