Nasal septal cartilage is quadrilateral-shaped cartilage that forms the anterior part of the nasal septum. Trauma to the nasal bone leads to nasal septal cartilage fracture. Nose bleed (epistaxis), swelling, obstructed airway, and pain in the nose are common symptoms of nasal septal cartilage fracture. Primary management is to control the epistaxis. In addition, doctors may recommend surgeries for nasal septal cartilage fractures with obvious cosmetic deformity and nasal obstruction.
