Medical Conditions - Gum Disease

Gum diseases are most commonly caused by improper maintenance of oral hygiene, which results in overgrowth of bacteria and inflammation. Inflammation of the gums is called gingivitis. If left untreated, the infection can spread, or infection from the tooth can result in gum abscess or periodontitis.
