Medical Conditions - Head Lice

Head lice are otherwise known as pediculus humanus capitis. These are small insects affecting the heads of the people. Preschool and children between 3 to 11 years are commonly affected. It is transmitted from person to person through direct head contact. The initial sign is the presence of itching over the head. Medicated shampoos and removing it by using hands can help to reduce the problem.
