Other causes include trauma, medical procedures, tumors, polyps, reproductive tract obstruction, alteration in blood flow, hypertension, HIV, leukemia, etc. If it occurs after a diagnostic procedure, it regresses by itself. Other treatment modalities include treating the underlying condition along with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications.
