Hemoglobinopathy is a class of diseases in which there is an anomalous generation or irregular structure formation of the haemoglobin molecule. It is an inherited disorder. This group of diseases comprises haemoglobin C disease, haemoglobin S-C disease, sickle cell anaemia, and thalassemia.
