Medical Conditions - Henoch Schonlein Purpura

A disorder characterized by purplish rash due to inflammation of the small blood vessels in the skin, intestines, joints, and kidneys resulting in an increased tendency to bleeding is Henoch-Schonlein purpura. It is usually present in the buttocks and lower legs and causes pain in the abdomen and joints. It can sometimes result in kidney damage which may need medical treatment. Children between the age group of 2 to 6 years are most commonly affected. Healing usually occurs on its own.
