Medical Conditions - Heparin

Heparin, an anticoagulant, helps in preventing the formation of blood clots. It is used in treating medical conditions, such as heart attacks and unstable angina. It is often used in medical procedures to prevent the formation of blood clots. It works by disturbing the formation of clots in veins and decreases the size of the clots formed already. It is often injected intravenously. The common side effects of Heparin are abdominal pain, back pain, blood in urine, and headache.
