Medical Conditions - Hernia Mesh

Hernia mesh, also called surgical mesh, is a therapeutic tool that holds the healing tissues around the hernia. It is attached to the area encompassing the hernia with the help of sutures, glue, or staples. It consists of pores through which the growth of the tissues takes place. Almost all hernia surgeries employ a hernia mesh at the injured site. Furthermore, it also reduces the risk of recurrence.
