High monocyte indicates monocytosis. It is seen in cases of infectious mononucleosis, mumps, measles, tuberculosis, leukemia, and parasitic infections. The symptoms are splenomegaly, abdominal pain, stomach fullness, shortness of breath, weight loss, and pale skin. Treatment is taken depending on the cause.
