Medical Conditions - Holding Urine

Holding urine is not harmful to health. But, doing it regularly can increase the risk of infection or kidney disease including urinary tract infections, enlarged prostate, neurogenic bladder, kidney disorders, bladder stretching, and urinary retention. Holding urine for a long time can also weaken the bladder muscles over time. Having healthy bladder habits can help overcome this problem.
