The HPV DNA test is done to analyze dangerous Human papillomavirus infections in females, which commonly affect the genitals. These viruses are transmitted by sex. High-risk types cause cervical cancers and other types of cancers, whereas low-risk varieties cause genital warts. It is performed by taking a pap smear, for which a sample is taken from the cervix fluid. After this, these cells are visualized in microscopy to check for the DNA of human papillomavirus.
