Medical Conditions - Hymen Surgery

The hymen is a thick layer of tissue that encircles the vaginal orifice from the urethral orifice, and it helps in the flow of menstrual blood. Hymen surgery is a simple procedure where torn edges are excised before stitching them with dissolvable sutures. It is often performed under local anesthetics. Hymen repair is a relatively safe procedure with few risks and side effects. There is a risk of developing an infection after surgery, and prolonged bleeding can occur during surgery.
