Hyperacusis is a hearing disorder where the affected person is unable to bear sounds every day. This condition is also known as noise sensitivity. It can be caused due to prolonged exposure to loud sounds, medications, head injury, aging, and surgery in the ears. The common symptoms are loud sounds heard in the ears, ear pain, and discomfort. It is treated by having sound therapy and cognitive behavior therapy.
