Hypercalcemia refers to excess calcium levels in the blood. It is most commonly caused due to the overactivity of the parathyroid glands or cancer. Symptoms range from mild to severe and may include weakened bones with pain, kidney stones, frequent urination, increased thirst, abdominal pain, muscle weakness, confusion, and fatigue. Treatment involves medications or surgical removal of the overactive gland.
