Our body can compensate for a short period of oxygen deprivation. However, if it exceeds the time, it results in Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy. Fetal or neonatal asphyxia is the most common cause of infant death. In addition, it affects the child's development by producing cognitive delays and motor impairment. Maternal hypotension, umbilical cord injury, placental and uterine rupture, cardiac complications, etc., are the risk factors involved.
