Medical Conditions - Kikuchi Fujimoto Disease

Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease is a benign and self-limited disorder characterized by regional cervical lymphadenopathy with tenderness, usually accompanied by mild fever and night sweats. Other symptoms may include weight loss, nausea, vomiting, and sore throat. The cause of the disease is unknown. Still, it is known to be associated with viral diseases, including Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), varicella-zoster virus (VZV), and autoimmune disorders including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and Sjogren's syndrome. Analgesics, antipyretics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and corticosteroids may help relieve the symptoms.
