Klebsiella pneumonia bacteria enter the human body through a skin cut or wound and in hospitalized patients through infected catheters, cannulas, and endotracheal tubes. People with diabetes, cancer, kidney, liver, and lung diseases, alcoholics, and those under prolonged antibiotic therapy are prone to the Klebsiella pneumonia infection. It can cause meningitis, endocarditis, septicemia, cellulitis, etc.
