Laryngomalacia is a congenital abnormality common in infants. It is characterized by soft tissues above the vocal cords. It results in a flip of these tissues into the airway, which causes blockage of the airways, leading to noisy breathing. It usually recovers before the age of two, but in some, it may require treatment which includes supraglottoplasty.
