The other causes of leg pain are deep vein thrombosis, gout, infection, peripheral neuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis, sprains, and stress fractures. Taking pain medications helps to provide some relief. Applying heat or cold provides some relief. Stretching and massaging help a lot.
