Cancer of the blood or the bone marrow is known as leukemia. It is caused when the damage to the genetic material of immature blood cells, mainly white blood cells, results in the continuous formation of new abnormal blood cells. The healthy blood cells die in time, but these abnormal blood cells do not die and get accumulated.
