Medical Conditions - Lipoprotein

Lipoprotein is a substance made of fat that circulates in the blood. There are different types of lipoprotein, such as chylomicrons, very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), intermediate-density lipoprotein, high-density lipoprotein (HDL), and low-density lipoprotein (LDL). High LDL, VLDL, and triglycerides have an important role in the formation of atherosclerosis, leading to heart attacks and strokes.
