A maxillary sinus cyst appears as a lesion on the inner wall and bottom of the maxillary sinus. They are usually dome-shaped. They appear as soft masses on the bottom of the maxillary sinus. In most cases, they seem to be asymptomatic, and they are diagnosed under routine radiographic examinations. If it is large, it causes some symptoms such as paresthesia, chronic headache, dizziness, and nasal blockage. It is treated by enucleation of the cyst, and surgical excision can be done.
