Menopausal hormone therapy (MHT), is another name is hormone replacement therapy (HRT). It is a treatment that involves the use of hormones to relieve symptoms associated with menopause. Menopause is a biological process in women. It is marked by the stoppage of menstrual periods and a decrease in hormone production. MHT typically involves the administration of estrogen, sometimes in combination with progestin, to alleviate symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and mood swings.
