Micropthalmos, also known as microphthalmia, is a developmental disorder in which one or both eyes are small in size. It is primarily sporadic, but a change in the chromosomes or genes is also responsible for this condition. The common symptoms include uncontrolled eye movements, cataracts, coloboma, and glaucoma. Treatment mainly relies on improving the vision.
