Misaligned jaw results either due to malaligned teeth or malaligned jaw since birth or during the growth phase. Open bite, deep bite, crossbite, maxillary deficiency, jaw discrepancies, forwardly placed mandible, and fracture are some of the causes of a misaligned jaw. It can exhibit symptoms like lisping, shifting of the jaw towards a side while jaw opening, clenching involuntarily, pain in the temporomandibular joint and ears, etc.
