Injury to the spinal cord due to severe compression is called myelopathy. Spinal injuries, congenital stenosis, disc herniation, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal tumors, etc., can result in myelopathy. Symptoms include pain in the neck, arm, leg, back, walking problems, balancing issues, and urinary or bowel control loss.
