Nasal infection occurs when the cavities present around the nasal cavities become inflamed. Acute infections are triggered by colds or allergies and resolve on their own. Chronic infections are caused due to infections and take around eight weeks to get resolved. The common symptoms are discolored nasal discharge, headache, postnasal drip, and nasal congestion. It is treated by taking antibiotics, nasal decongestants, antihistamines, and topical nasal corticosteroids.
