Neck injury refers to trauma or damage to the cervical spine and can be due to a herniated or bulging disc, whiplash injury, fracture, or spinal cord injury. Mild injuries can be treated with adequate rest, pain medications, and physical therapy. Severe injuries require surgery, immobilization with a brace or collar, and other interventions to stabilize the spine.
