A neuroendocrine tumor refers to the cancer cells present in the body's neuroendocrine system. It can develop in any part of the body and grow slowly. But there are a few neuroendocrine tumors that can be fast-growing. Neuroendocrine tumors more commonly develop in the gastrointestinal tract, particularly in the large intestine.
