Nevus, otherwise called a mole, is a common and harmless skin spot formed due to the collection of pigmented skin cells. They can be black, brown, tan, or pink in color. Some of the common types of nevi are congenital nevus, common nevus, blue nevus, halo nevus, Spitz nevus, and Reed nevus. If the color, shape, or size of the nevus changes suddenly, consult a doctor.
