These are ectopic sebaceous glands present within the oral cavity. It is commonly seen on the vermillion border of lips as yellow-white papules, that are usually asymptomatic. These are hyperplastic and nodular in appearance. Treatment is not usually required.

Fordyce granules are not a serious threat to health. It is a harmless medical condition that serves as a marker for detecting other systemic disorders.
