Oro-antral communication indicates an abnormal communication or passage presenting between the maxillary sinus and oral cavity. It occurs as a result of various pathological processes and most commonly occurs after an extraction. It is diagnosed by doing the Valsalva method. It is managed by creating a barrier between the oral cavity and maxillary sinus to prevent having maxillary sinusitis.
