A normal pregnancy is about 40 weeks, and the baby arrives around this time. If labor does not start for a pregnant woman after 41 weeks of pregnancy gets completed, it is considered overdue pregnancy. A woman has a greater chance of overdue pregnancy if she is obese, over 30 years of age, and it is her first pregnancy. In such cases, the fetus is monitored, and delivery is induced if necessary.
